Guild Rules & Code of Conduct

Our rules exist to protect the community. Read them, understand them, follow them.

A Word from the Guild Master

Tatta United was founded on the principle that you can be competitive AND have fun. We're semi-hardcore — we push content seriously during raid hours, but we're also a community of friends. These rules aren't here to be authoritarian; they're here to ensure everyone has a great time. If you have questions, my DMs are always open.

— Rathe, Guild Master & Mass Tatta

Respect & Maturity

We are a community first. Treat everyone with respect.

  • No racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of discrimination — zero tolerance.
  • No targeted harassment or bullying of any guild member, pug, or player.
  • Keep guild chat and voice comms friendly. Banter is fine, toxicity is not.
  • Personal disagreements should be resolved in private or with officer mediation.
  • Remember: behind every character is a real person.

Raid Attendance

Semi-hardcore means commitment. We rely on each other.

  • Maintain a minimum of 75% raid attendance per month (2 out of 3 raids).
  • Sign up on the raid calendar at least 24 hours before raid time.
  • If you cannot make a raid, post in #absences on Discord BEFORE the raid.
  • Consecutive no-shows without notice may result in demotion to Member rank.
  • We understand real life comes first — just communicate with us.

Raid Preparedness

Come prepared. Respect the time of 24 other raiders.

  • Bring all required consumables: flasks, food buffs, potions (health/mana AND damage/healing), elixirs if not using flask.
  • Have all gear enchanted and gemmed with appropriate (not cheap) enchants/gems.
  • Know the boss fights. Read our Guides section or watch videos before progression fights.
  • Be online and at the instance entrance 15 minutes before raid invites.
  • Repair your gear before the raid. No "I forgot" excuses.

Communication

Discord is our primary communication platform.

  • All raiders MUST be on Discord during raids with a working microphone.
  • Keep voice comms clear during boss encounters — call only mechanics.
  • Read #announcements and #raid-info channels regularly.
  • Use the appropriate channels for discussions (no spam in #general).
  • Officers will communicate in English; other channels can be multilingual.

Loot Council Rules

Loot is distributed fairly by the officer team.

  • We use a Loot Council system. Officers decide based on: attendance, performance, current gear, and raid benefit.
  • Whisper the Loot Master if you want an item. State if it's BIS or a sidegrade.
  • Do NOT complain about loot decisions in raid chat or voice comms. If you disagree, DM an officer after the raid.
  • Trials have lower loot priority unless no one else needs the item.
  • Legendary items (Hand of A'dal, etc.) are decided by a guild-wide officer vote with attendance and contribution as factors.

Guild Bank & Resources

The guild bank serves the guild, not individuals.

  • Deposits into the guild bank are appreciated but not mandatory (flasks, primals, recipes).
  • Withdrawals for progression raiding consumables are approved by officers.
  • Do not abuse guild bank access. Taking items to sell on AH is grounds for removal.
  • Enchanting materials are provided free for raid-relevant enchants via our Guild Enchanter (Plague).
  • Crafting materials for resistance gear during progression will be provided from the bank.

Prohibited Behavior

The following will result in immediate action.

  • Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using third-party automation tools.
  • Ninja-looting in any guild or pug run while wearing our guild tag.
  • Sharing guild strategies, WeakAuras, or internal drama with other guilds.
  • Griefing or intentionally wiping the raid.
  • Real-money trading (RMT) or gold buying.

Disciplinary Process

Fair but firm. We believe in second chances, not third.

  • First offense (minor): Private warning from an officer.
  • Second offense: Written warning logged in officer notes. Player is put on notice.
  • Third offense: Demotion or temporary raid bench (1-2 weeks).
  • Severe offense: Immediate /gkick. This includes any form of discrimination, exploit use, or ninja-looting.
  • Appeals can be made to the Guild Master (Rathe) directly.

By joining Tatta United, you agree to these rules.

Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. All members are expected to have read and understood this page. If anything is unclear, ask an officer.
